We are Connemara Green Festival, an annual festival celebrating all things in nature and aiming to raise funds for conservation projects  in our community in Letterfrack, Co Galway. We take our responsibilities under applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation and implementing legislation such as the Data Protection Act 2018, very seriously. The purpose of this notice is to inform you of the data relating to you that we collect and use in connection with this website and the uses (including disclosures to third parties) we make of such data.

We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked sites. Any external links to other websites are clearly identifiable as such. Some technical terms used in this statement are explained at the end of this page.

 

Collection and use of personal information

The Connemara Green Festival does not collect any personal data about you on this website, apart from information which you volunteer (for example your name and email addresses or if you use an  online order form for one of our events). This personal data may include:

  • your name and contact details, including your address, phone number and email address;
  • any other personal data relating to you that you provide to us or that we generate about you in connection with your use of this website and subscription to receive information about events related to the Connemara Green Festival.

  • dealing with any queries that you have submitted to us via the website
  • emailing you about Festival events

However, where you submit your details in the newsletter subscription section of our website, we will ask you to provide certain information, such as your name and address and email address. If you do not provide this information, we may not be able to process your request.

Glossary of technical terms used

IP address: The identifying details for your computer, or your internet company’s computer, expressed in “internet protocol” code (for example 192.168.72.34). Connemara Green Festival participates in social media to inform and engage with people within our region and with our National and International colleagues and supporters.

Connemara Green Festival uses social media to:

  • Provide information about the Connemara Green Festival and our events.
  • Promote Connemara Green Festivals initiatives, publications and other community activities.
  • Inform the public about any events or opportunities that may be of interest to them.

 

Connemara Green Festival does not engage with user content that is:

  • Inappropriate or misleading
  • Malicious
  • Potentially defamatory or harmful to Connemara Green Fsetival

 

Moderation

Comments or opinions expressed by followers of Connemara Green Festival on social media do not represent the views of the Connemara Green Festival. Connemara Green Festival will moderate and remove any comments which are abusive, derogatory, defamatory or malicious in nature, or that do not comply with our social media policy.

 

Following and liking

Being followed or liked by any of the Connemara Green Festival’s social media accounts does not imply endorsement of any kind.
Connemara Green Festival will take a discerning approach towards following and liking, and will seek only to connect to the most relevant accounts.

 

Response times

Connemara Green Festival updates and monitors its social media accounts during the office hours of 9am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday. We aim to respond to queries within four working days.

 

Privacy
